If you live out west where the prairie dogs are, this also makes good target practice. Most farmers will let you hunt for ground hogs because of the destruction they cause, the crops they eat & the holes they make. While driving a tractor in a field and there is a hole from a ground hog and the farmer can’t see it and drives in it, this can cause serious damage to farm tractor or equipment or worse personal injury.
